Independent Study | All Levels | Wheel Throwing & Hand-Building (4-Week Session)

$225.00

Independent Study is for students who want structured studio time to focus on their own work—with instructor support available, but no formal lessons or demos.

You might be a beginner practicing centering, or an experienced ceramicist working on self-directed projects in wheel throwing or hand-building. Whatever your level or focus, you’ll have the freedom to work at your own pace, and an instructor will be present to offer guidance, answer questions, and help troubleshoot as needed.

Independent Study participants are assigned a full-size member shelf, offering significantly more space than standard student shelves—ideal for those developing ongoing projects or working at a larger scale.

This session is open to all levels and is perfect for anyone looking to deepen their practice through independent exploration, with ample storage and support available when needed.

Spots are limited to 10 per class.

Open studio access is included, with studio hours available 7 days a week so you can continue your work between sessions.

Includes:

• 4-weeks of open studio access (9 AM–9 PM daily)
• Four weekly instructor-supported sessions (2 hours each)
• Full-size member shelf for storage through the 4th session; shelf access extends without interruption if enrolled in a consecutive Independent Study session
• Access to both the members’ and students’ sections of the studio
• Use of both wheels and handbuilding tables during Open Studio hours
• Instructor support for troubleshooting and technical advice
• Access to all member glazes

Requirements:

• Must have the ability to work independently
• Participants must attend the first session for studio orientation
• A separate glazing orientation is required before using studio glazes

Cost: $225 for a 4-week session

➡ Existing Makers & Clay Members receive a 50% discount and access to an additional full-size shelf during their session.

Not Included:

• Clay (must be purchased from the studio)
